Liberty Wharf Jersey14th January 2014
Liberty Wharf is a mixed-use development on the island of Jersey. The scheme involves many multi storey new-build office and retail units along with the painstaking refurbishment and restoration of historic listed buildings in the harbour of St Helier including the original sea walls and abattoir.
Wooldridge are responsible for overall project management of the scheme from concept design and development, through the planning process and the production of the working design of the scheme through to site management of all the works, providing a complete “turn-key” package for the client.
Wooldridge’s ability to adapt to difficult and complicated projects has proven particularly useful on this project ensuring that the strict design and construction requirements of Jerseys planning, building control and historic buildings officers have been met along with those of WEB, the organisation responsible for the redevelopment of the harbour area.
Working to a strict budget and tight build programme were also key requirements of the client. Wooldridge’s vast experience of such complex and challenging projects ensured a cost effective and efficient design solution and provided a professional management team for the scheme which completed early in 2010.
